- Why isn't the text selectable in the output?
- This tool compresses by re-rendering each page as an image, which is effective for scanned or image-heavy PDFs but converts any live text into pixels. For text-heavy PDFs, this trade-off usually isn't worth it.
- What settings should I start with?
- 60% quality and a 1400px max width is a reasonable starting point for most documents — lower both further if the file still needs to be smaller.
