Image Alt Text Checker

Paste a page's HTML source to find every image missing alt text.

Everything runs locally in your browser — nothing is sent anywhere. This tool checks the HTML you paste in, not a live URL.

Result

Paste HTML on the left to check image alt text.

How to use it

  1. 1View a page's source (Ctrl/Cmd+U) and copy it.
  2. 2Paste it into the box.
  3. 3Review the list of images missing alt text.

Is my file uploaded?

No — the check happens locally in your browser on the HTML you paste in.

FAQ

Should every image have alt text?
Purely decorative images can use an empty alt (alt=""), but any image conveying information should have descriptive alt text for accessibility and SEO.
